Mixed-Format Parents' Biography Creation
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD
I'm looking to have a biography written on my parents, as a personal keepsake and for extended family and friends to cherish. The biography should follow a mixed structure, compiling both chronological life events and thematic chapters.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Biographical writing
* Strong narrative development
* Historical research
The project will require:
* Understanding of our family history
* Ability to bring life stories into engaging prose
* Capacity to weave thematic elements within a chronological framework
Previous experience in personal or family biographies is ideal. I look forward to reading compelling narratives about my parents' life journeys.
Parents both born in Melbourne, 1955 and 1956.
Both are still with us.
They met each other in years 11 and 12
Dad’s parents met in an interesting way.
I don’t know how mums parents met.
I’ve recently learnt both grandparents mums were actually their sister.
Dad grew up in the house my pop built. My wife and I currently live in this same house. Lots of history, built in the 1950s.
Dad had a colourful footy career in local footy.
Mum supported dad in every way and raised 2 children (me included)
They bought a house over 100 years old, renevayer it while pregnant, battled the rats and have worked very hard.
I saw the idea of a biography on an Instagram post and it intrigued me.
What is the fee proposal, and what is the deliverable of this? My parents would get a kick out of story telling (especially my dad), and he regularly creates photo books and calendars showing historic photos he has been collecting.
Interested in hearing ideas, and on receipt I’ll discuss with my sister and hear her thoughts.
Note, I have selected the budget. Happy to consider what outcome would change based on budget changes. I am sure the output is a dependency on what inputs there are and who uou are writing about.
