Looking for a Satirical writer for a daily webiste and newsletter
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
We are in search of a witty and talented satire writer who is a native English speaker.
The site and newsletter that we are hiring for is based on mostly political satire. While the owners and the site tend to lean hard to the right, we are willing to make fun of anyone in Washington, DC - regardless of their political affiliations.
We cater to an audience who does really care of the "real" news, but every once in a while finds themself in need of a good laugh - at someone else's expense.
These stories don't have to be very long - most will fall under 500 words. The best stories will lend themselves to great, meme-worthy graphics that will get traction on social media. Organically. And responsibly.
Please respond with your rates for one satire post per day, 7 days a week. I don't care if you deliver all of them in one day, or drip them out throughout the week. What I do care about it high-quality content with a high shareability factor. I also care for an intense sense of humor and someone who doesn't take themselves (or anything else) too seriously.
These satire stories will be created on a work-for-hire basis with no attribution. We will own the content and control how it is published, who gets credit for it, and will have exclusive rights to said content.
