Long term ghostwriter sought for books about American (U.S.) History
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I am looking for an excellent writer to work with on a long-term basis to write multiple books in the field of American (U.S.) History, beginning with a book on the American Revolution.
This first book will be approximately 30K words long with a budget of $1000. A second book of approximately the same length and budget is also in the planning stages. The availability of future projects as well as their length and budget is dependent upon our experience working together on this first book.
The writer I seek must have passion as well as the education, training, experience, specialized knowledge, or expertise to write authoritatively about American History, particularly the American Revolution and the Revolutionary War. A more detailed outline is forthcoming. Topics for this book will include:
1. The causes of the rebellion including Britain having to raise revenue due to the French and Indian War resulting in taxation issues, the Stamp Act, Intolerable Acts and continuing through the Boston Tea Party and Boston Massacre as well as the First Continental Congress.
2. Cover all the major events at the beginning of the war around 1775 including Lexington & Concord, Paul Revere’s Ride, Boston & Bunker Hill, Loyalists, forming the Militia and Continental Army, and the Second Continental Congress.
3. Cover all the major events of 1776 including The Philosophy of Revolt itself, the Liberation of Boston, how the South chose sides, Battle of Sullivan Island, The Declaration of Independence, Battle of Long Island, George Washington, Retreat from New York, The Threat from Canada, and Trenton and Princeton.
4. Cover the struggles in 1777 including the Forage War, European Assistance and the Marquis de Lafayette as well as German Mercenaries, Burgoyne’s Offensive, The British in Upper New York, The Battle of and Surrender at Saratoga, treatment of Prisoners of War, and The Philadelphia Campaign.
5. Cover the expansion of the war through 1778-79 including the Winter at Valley Forge, The March from Philadelphia, Molly Pitcher and Abigail Adams, The War in the North and British Resurgence, War on the Periphery and at Sea, Deadlock in New York, the Ohio and the Siege of Savannah.
6. Cover the major battles of 1780 including New York Theater, Betrayal at West Point, Siege of Charleston, Guerilla War in South Carolina, The Battle of Camden, The Battle of Kings Mountain.
7. Success in the late war between 1781-83 including The Battle of Cowpens, The North Carolina Campaign, Success in Georgia and the Carolinas, The Battle of the Chesapeake, The Yorktown Campaign, Surrender at Yorktown, Negotiating Peace, and Treaty of Paris.
8. The epilogue of Costs of War, The Limits of Confederation, The Constitutional Convention and President Washington, The Irrepressible Conflicts.
The target audience would be high school or above readers, particularly students who may want to use this book as a concise aid to study this period of American History.
