Ghostwrite & Book Manuscript Editing and proofreading

Job ID: 39938692

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m looking for a skilled wordsmith who can take my rough notes and shape them into a publish-ready book. The project blends elements of fiction, nonfiction, and biography, so you’ll need to move comfortably between storytelling and factual narration while maintaining one clear, engaging voice.

Also, I have several books, and I am looking for copy editor for my current books. First book, 126k words, Second book, 90,000 words, third book 56,000 words.

Price: USD 1.50 per 1000 words.

Requirement:

I want track changes and clean edited version for each editing project. I prefer US English.

Here’s what I need:
• Ghostwriting: organize my outlines and recorded thoughts into a compelling manuscript with smooth pacing and strong character arcs where appropriate.
• Editing: perform developmental and line edits to tighten structure, fix inconsistencies, and elevate overall flow.
• Formatting: prepare a clean layout for both eBook and print, applying standard industry styles (chapter headings, margins, front/back matter).

I’m flexible on timing and open to collaborative check-ins, but I’d like to see steady progress and clear milestones—outline, first draft, revised draft, and final formatted file. Familiarity with tools such as Scrivener or MS Word’s Track Changes is a plus, and experience exporting to Kindle or IngramSpark formats will stand out.

If you’ve successfully ghostwritten or edited books before—especially ones that weave real-life facts into narrative—let’s talk. Share two relevant samples, outline how you’d approach the draft-to-final process, and tell me when you could start.
