My 11-year-old son is in the 6th grade at a German Gymnasium and already speaks at an intermediate level. The goal of these lessons is to strengthen all core skills—grammar and writing, speaking and listening, and reading comprehension—through a structured, methodical approach that still keeps him motivated.
The plan is simple: two to three online hours each week, split into sessions that balance short explanations with plenty of guided practice. Clear correction of grammar, steady expansion of vocabulary, and regular speaking drills will be essential. After each lesson, a quick note on what was covered and a small homework task will help us track progress.
We will meet on Zoom or a similar platform, so please be comfortable using digital whiteboards, screen-sharing, and interactive exercises. A warm, patient attitude is important; my son excels when he understands the rules behind the language and can apply them step by step.
