Steel Office Building Calculations
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for a licensed structural engineer who can prepare a full steel-frame calculation report for a commercial office building. The report must sit comfortably on my local permitting desk, so accuracy, clarity, and code compliance are essential.
Scope of work
The building is classified as commercial—specifically an office—so all calculations must reflect the associated occupancy loads and load combinations. I need a holistic structural-engineering package focused on steel construction: member sizing, connection checks, deflection limits, serviceability, and a safety compliance review aligned with the relevant code set (AISC 360 or Eurocode 3—happy to confirm the governing standard once we start). I will supply architectural plans, load criteria, and any geotechnical data you need; you bring the analysis, modelling, and professional stamp.
Deliverables
• PDF calculation report stamped and signed (where licensure allows)
• Source spreadsheets or analysis files (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, or similar)
• Summary sheet highlighting governing load cases and critical members
Acceptance criteria
The report must show clear load paths, reference every assumption, and demonstrate that all steel members and connections meet strength and serviceability requirements. I’ll consider the job complete once the municipal reviewer signs off without comments.
If this matches your expertise, let’s talk schedule and any additional data you need from me.
