Residential Foundation Engineering Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for a civil engineer who can take full responsibility for the structural design of a new residential foundation. The project is still at concept stage; I have a site survey and will share soil data as soon as the geotechnical report is finished. What I need from you is a complete foundation package that satisfies local building codes and is ready for permit submission.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• Calculations covering bearing capacity, settlement, and seismic/wind loading
• Detailed footing, slab, and reinforcement drawings in DWG/PDF
• A concise design brief that explains assumptions, codes followed, and key design checks
If you are licensed to stamp drawings in my jurisdiction, please note that in your proposal—otherwise, an unstamped design is acceptable and I’ll arrange for a local PE review. Proficiency with standard structural software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, or similar) is expected, but I’m flexible on the exact tool as long as the output is clear and verifiable.
