Ohio PE Approval for DX-86 Tower
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I have an 86-foot, self-supporting, telescoping DX-86 lattice tower from Tashjian Towers ready for installation. The manufacturer’s engineer has already completed a full structural analysis, but he is not licensed in Ohio. I now need an Ohio-licensed structural engineer to perform a peer review of that analysis, evaluate my soil sample report, and sign off on the concrete footing and rebar plan I have drafted.
You will receive:
• The original structural calculations and drawings completed by the manufacturer’s PE
• A recent geotechnical report for the site
• My proposed foundation layout, reinforcement schedule, and any other supporting documents you need
What I’m asking you to provide:
• Written peer review confirming the adequacy of the manufacturer’s analysis for Ohio code compliance
• Verification—or necessary redlines—of the pier design based on the supplied soil data
• A stamped approval letter (Ohio PE) covering the tower, footing, and rebar plan, suitable for permit submission
If additional documentation is required beyond what I’ve listed, just let me know early so I can supply it. My preference is to handle everything electronically and wrap up the approval as efficiently as possible.
