YOUR TASKS

Offshore wind farms are central to the Netherlands' shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy. As a key milestone toward their climate goals, the Dutch government is targeting 21 GW of energy from offshore wind farms by 2032. Our project partner intends to contract high-quality experts who support them in managing the site investigations. The geophysical and geotechnical surveys will be executed covering a Wind Farm Site(s) suitable for 8GW.

For this project, we are looking for an Expert – Geotechnical (m/w/d) who can work fully remotely.

Occasionally, the project staff are required to travel to the client's office in Utrecht, or contractor office to attend – for example – project kick-off meetings, important workshops, vessel induction when in Port only (no offshore work), etc. Trips like these are usually limited to once or maybe twice a year, and travel is reimbursed.

Your range of tasks includes:

- Participate in meetings related to the geophysical study, geotechnical study, morphological study, ground model and vessel calls during project execution
- During the meetings, it is expected that the lead expert can represent the expert group and participate in discussions
- Manage interfaces between studies, experts and RVO
- Share information between the teams so that all experts have all the required information. When questions arise the lead expert will arrange a follow-up with the correct party
- Quality assurance and quality control
- Assessing the contractor’s bids
- Drafting Scope of Work for the geotechnical campaign tender
- Review and evaluate proposals (e.g. project documentation, suitability vessels and equipment, equipment set up, project execution plan, line plan), in some cases providing a second opinion
- Contribute to defining a CPT and barehole plan
- Contribute to defining a lab testing program (standard and cyclic)
- Onshore quality control of results during project execution in cooperation with the on-board Client Rep.
