Transportation Network Mapping Expert

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

I'm in need of a GIS specialist with experience in transportation network mapping.

Key tasks for this project will include:
- Creation of several transportation network maps that will comprehensively showcase road and highway system, railway lines, and bus routes across the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) region (Ontario, CA)
- Specific emphasis on identifying gaps in service areas.
- The number of maps to be created are not yet confirmed, but will be 5 or less. All data for maps will be provided and only requires time for uploading files and organizing layers to create the maps.

- Types of maps to be developed:
1. Employment density and urban growth centres/nodes
2. GGH highway network and railway network
3. Proposed public transit network projects / multi-nodal travel patterns
4. GO Transit rail/bus network, and intercity-bus routes

Ideal candidate should have:
- Strong experience in ArcGIS Pro, data analysis, and geocoding (please show examples of GIS work previously completed).
- Expertise in creating thematic maps, particularly those focusing on transportation networks.
- All data sources will be provided and the task mainly requires knowledge of using ArcGIS Pro to upload GIS files and organizing/labeling layers to highlight the specific rail and bus networks.

The purpose of the project is to provide a visual representation of existing public transit networks, in relation to employment density and urban growth centres, and highlighting potential service gaps.Your insights will directly shape our understanding and improve our transportation service and efficiency.

Project Delivery - Time and Cost
- Estimate $50 CAD per GIS map (or $250 CAD for total project)
- Project is time sensitive, estimate completion by February 20, 2024.
