Project: Extraction and Organization of Map Data from Taipei Historical Map
System**
**Project Overview:**
Seeking a GIS analyst or data processor to extract data from Taipei’s historical
map platform. The project involves structuring this data in Excel, identifying
specific regions and land distributions, and adding annotations to enhance
clarity and accuracy.
**Key Project Requirements:**
1. **Data Extraction and Layer Selection**:
- Access Taipei’s historical map platform.( 台北歷史圖資) ( please use chinese map) https://www.historygis.udd.gov.taipei/urban/
- Select layers such as road sections, area maps (mark road areas in white),
cadastral maps, public/private land distributions, terrain maps, and 2023 terrain
map (exclude grid lines).
2. **Data Visualization and Customization**:
- Adjust layer transparencies: area map (10%), land distribution (40%).
- Organize maps based on road segments from intersections to intersections.
3. **Identify and Label Specific Areas**:
- Identify areas surrounded by government land, labeled as “Diamond,”
“Gold,” and “Silver” zones based on land characteristics ( in excel file ) (total will
be 3 excel file in this case )
4. **Export and Organize Data in Excel**:
- Export map data, such as land numbers and area types, with links or notes
to reference specific regions.
5. **Manual Review and Quality Assurance**:
- Conduct manual checks to ensure data accuracy and client alignment.
6. **Further Data Organization**:
- Consolidate simple existing alleys in Taipei districts based on land number
classifications.
**Skills Required:**
- Proficiency in GIS tools and historical map platforms.
- Expertise in data extraction, layer manipulation, and visualization.
- Excel proficiency for creating clickable links or comments.
**Deliverables**:
- Structured Excel file with land numbers, area types, and distribution details.
- Screenshots or PDF exports of selected layers for documentation.
- Short guide for Excel file usage.
**Budget and Timeline**:
