Open-Source GIS Vector Mapping

We’re hiring a Geospatial Developer to help automate mapping workflows and integrate geospatial data into our backend platform, Runway—a PropTech tool used by builders and developers across Australia and USA

What You’ll Do:
Develop tooling to convert PLATs and subdivision files (PDF, DWG, CAD) into structured formats (GeoJSON, vector tiles, etc.).


Build automated pipelines for georeferencing, feature extraction, and transformation.


Integrate outputs into a Java/Spring Boot backend via REST APIs.

Collaborate with our product and engineering team to ensure alignment with Runway’s siting logic and data structures.

Requirements:
Strong experience with geospatial tooling (e.g., Python + GDAL, geopandas, Shapely, or FME).

Solid understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial data formats.

Proficient with Java and Spring Boot, or at least confident building backend integrations with REST APIs.

Experience working with MySQL and/or MongoDB.

Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and working in CI/CD pipelines.

NDA and IP Agreement required.
