GIS Data Extraction & Processing from WFS – Sidewalk Widths & Street Slopes for Aachen Area (52 km²)
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I’m looking for a skilled GIS freelancer to help with a data processing task for a 52 km² area in Aachen, Germany. The goal is to extract spatial data via WFS, convert it to GIS format, and derive useful features.
✅ Deliverables:
1. WFS Data Extraction
○ Extract spatial data for the specified 52 km² area using WFS (Web Feature Service).
○ Convert into usable GIS format (GeoPackage or shapefile).
2. Sidewalk Centerlines
○ Extract sidewalk geometry and convert it to centerline representation.
○ Attribute each segment with its width.
3. Street Centerlines with Slope Data
○ Extract existing geometry layer of street center line with its slope attribute.
○ Final output: street centerlines with slope % as an attribute.
? Preferred Tools/Skills:
• QGIS or ArcGIS
• Python (optional – for automation)
• Experience with WFS/WMS
? Project Area:
• Approximately 52 km² within Aachen, Germany (exact boundary will be provided)
? Timeline:
• Preferred delivery: within 10–14 days
