Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer/Architect with extensive experience in ESRI ArcGIS, GIS data visualization tools, and Azure deployment solutions such as Google Maps and Azure Maps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying GIS applications and solutions in a cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS and other GIS data visualization tools.
Architect and implement scalable GIS solutions on Azure, leveraging services like Azure Maps and Google Maps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into GIS solutions.
Understanding and ability to demonstrate use of various data types, such as LRS, Raster, Vector, Topological, Attribute, 3D, Temporal, and geodatabases.
Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Implement and optimize geospatial data processing workflows.
Create and manage GIS web services and APIs for data integration and sharing.
Perform spatial analysis and create high-quality cartographic outputs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS applications and infrastructure.
Stay current with the latest GIS technologies, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a GIS Developer/Architect.
Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS suite of products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise).
Strong skills in GIS data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Mapbox).
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and familiarity with Azure Maps and Google Maps.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, React.JS, C#, and SQL.
Experience with GIS web development frameworks (e.g., ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet).
Strong understanding of spatial data models, geoprocessing, and spatial analysis techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (Microsoft Azure DevOps - ADO)
Experience with machine learning and AI in a geospatial context.
Certifications in GIS or cloud platforms (e.g., Esri Technical Certification, Azure Certification).
