Digitization using QGIS (Online)
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
We are seeking skilled digitizers to join our team ASAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for digitizing of satellite images and other scanned analog maps with acquisition of attribute data based on cadastral datasets using QGIS software. They will mainly generate polygons (on average 18 vertices per object) and points shape files following specific rules will be provided by training session. They will work later closely with our team to ensure that all data is accurately captured and entered into our system.
Responsibilities:
• Digitize maps, plans, and other spatial data using QGIS software
• Enter attribute data that are already integrated in QGIS project (up to 9 types per object)
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all data entered
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure data consistency and quality
• Review and edit digitized data as needed
• Perform quality control checks on digitized data
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project timelines are met
• Participate in training sessions as required
Requirements:
• Good knowledge in QGIS software
• Experience in digitizing maps, plans, and other spatial data
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English or German
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with GIS concepts and data structures
• Bachelor Students in Geography, GIS, or a related field are preferred
