Project Description:
We are seeking a professional GIS specialist/cartographer to design and deliver a comprehensive cartographic package of the recent conflict escalation between Iran and Israel. The project aims to visually communicate the spatial distribution and impact of missile attacks or targeted strikes in both countries using high-quality maps and supporting data.
Scope of Work:
Deliver a set of 8+ professional maps, including:
Targeted sites in Israel (military bases, infrastructure, etc.)
Targeted sites in Iran (nuclear, strategic, or urban areas)
Pre/post comparison maps (before/after satellite view if available)
Temporal sequence maps (e.g., Day 1, Day 2, etc.)
Civilian proximity zones
Heat maps showing intensity/frequency of attacks
Border proximity maps (Israel-Lebanon, Iran-Persian Gulf)
Refugee/displacement estimations if applicable
Each map must include:
Clear titles, legends, and scale bars
Source attribution
Consistent visual style (color palette, symbols, fonts)
Comments/labels on key targeted or impacted areas
Accompanying analytics:
At least 2 tables summarizing:
Location coordinates
Date of strike
Type of target (military, civilian, infrastructure)
Estimated impact (if available)
Interactive options:
Preference for at least 1 interactive map (using platforms like ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, or QGIS Web)
Embeddable or shareable format if possible
Deliverables:
High-resolution image maps (PNG/PDF)
GIS project files (preferably QGIS or ArcGIS formats)
Excel or CSV tables for associated data
One interactive web map (optional but preferred)
Deadline:
Within 3 days from acceptance of project
