Design Small Aquifer Hydrogen Storage with CMG -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m planning a small-scale underground hydrogen storage facility—up to 1,000 m³—dedicated to renewable energy storage. The concept focuses on using a suitable aquifer rather than salt caverns or depleted fields.
What I need now is a solid early-stage package that shows the idea is technically and economically viable. Please deliver:
• A concise feasibility report (≈10–15 pages) covering geology, reservoir characteristics, caprock integrity, hydrogen behaviour in porous media, and preliminary risk/safety considerations.
• Basic reservoir modelling or analytical calculations that justify the target working volume and outline injection / withdrawal rates. Feel free to use tools you’re comfortable with—COMSOL, Eclipse, Petrel, or comparable software—just document your workflow and assumptions.
• A simple facility layout: well schematic, surface plant blocks, and any required monitoring wells. CAD, Visio, or clear annotated sketches are fine.
• High-level cost estimate and a bullet list of permits or regulatory checks likely needed for a project of this scale.
• A short “next-steps” section that identifies key data gaps for the detailed design phase.
Clarity, traceable calculations, and practical recommendations are more important than polished graphics at this stage. I want also simulation and results from CMG
