Oman Wind Rose Project
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
HDO has contracted Vortex to provide a 1km by 1km resolution wind resource assessment covering Oman. Deliverables included:
- Windspeed at (50m, 60m, 70m … 190m, 200m)
- Weibull scale (50m, 60m, 70m … 190m, 200m)
- Weibull shape (50m, 60m, 70m … 190m, 200m)
- Temperature (50m, 60m, 70m … 190m, 200m)
- Density (50m, 60m, 70m … 190m, 200m)
- Wind rose
The objective of this exercise is to provide HDO with a web tool that at the minimum allows the user to visualise the wind rose data across Oman. The tool will be able to show wind rose graphs and wind speeds at different heights upon clicking on any area in Oman’s map similar to how it is done in the Global Wind Atlas
