HEC-HMS Forecast Model Setup
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have a complete set of historical flow records, accompanying meteorological time-series, and detailed soil/land-use layers for an entire river basin. With those inputs in hand, I now need a calibrated HEC-HMS model that can reliably forecast flows for upcoming storm events.
The work involves creating the basin schematic, parameterizing loss, transform, base-flow, and routing methods from the supplied GIS and tabular datasets, then calibrating and validating against my observed hydrographs. Once performance is acceptable, I want peak flow rates and full hydrograph outputs exported for the design storms I will specify.
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
• Fully configured HEC-HMS project file ready to run with my time-series library
• Calibration/validation summary showing statistical fit and any parameter adjustments made
• Peak discharge values and corresponding hydrographs (CSV & graph images) for each scenario
• Brief hand-off memo describing model structure, assumptions, and how to update or extend it
Please feel free to recommend any supplementary data or HEC-GeoHMS preprocessing if you think it will tighten the forecasts.
