We are a Burlington, Ontario-based FinTech (operating virtually presently), making it easy to set and manage a comprehensive smart financial plan, benefiting from built-in algorithms, consumption smoothing, and visualization tools to optimize and reach life and family goals faster.
At WealthyPlanet we’re revolutionizing the way people think about their finances. We require a Modeller to be responsible for designing, implementing and documenting data architecture and data modeling solutions which include the use of relational, dimensional and NoSQL databases. These solutions support enterprise information management, business intelligence, machine learning, data science and other business interests. We are launching our Beta product in a soft launch presently, followed by a commercial launch and scaling of the company.
Reports To:
Aaron Hamilton, Head of Engineering
Outcomes
Research and analyze changes in the financial market to make modelling decisions
Maintain and modify financial models while in use
Develop and implement complex quantitative models
Test new models, products and analytics programs
Apply or invent independent tools to verify results
Collaborate with Engineering team and Management daily
Present and interpret data results to senior management team
Generate requirement documentation
Competencies
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, software engineering or financial engineering or related field
1+ years of experience
High level understanding of mathematics (calculus, differential equations, statistics) and experience working with spreadsheets, software engineering, etc.
Advanced knowledge of excel, computer programming, mathematics, and solutions orientated
This role with WealthyPlanet will be full-time or part-time unless otherwise specified. We are looking for a commitment of approximately 40 hours per week.
