AI Lighting Recommendation Development

High Level Design Document
• Purpose:
The main idea of this project is to allow the ecommerce customer the ability to get recommended lighting fixtures based on 3 Inputs:
1. Customer space (room) picture
2. Customer style preferences categories (e.g., Modern/country, Ceiling mounted lighting/wall, chandelier..)
3. Products Tags/Labels.
The Generative AI output will be a visual way the system recommendation lighting on top of his space.
The website will provide the user the ability to select the recommended lighting device and add them into the shopping cart.
• Pain area:
Today, customers are required to consult with interior designers to receive recommendations regarding the space they want to design in terms of interior/exterior lighting.
• Scope:
1. Space Picture (Camera Input)- as a user, I shall have the ability to upload space picture/ take picture of the relevant space online.
2. Collect User Preferences- After uploading the space picture, the user should input their preferences (e.g., room type, style, lighting preference). This can be done through a form or a dynamic UI component. This data can then be passed to the recommendation engine.
3. AI-Based Recommendation System- Now, we shall need an AI model that can recommend lighting fixtures based on the user picture space, user preferences and products tags.
4. Integrating with Inventory- To integrate this with the site inventory, need to map the output of the AI recommendation (which fixture is recommended) to the actual products available in the store.
5. User Interface- The UI will display the recommended lighting fixtures based on the AI suggestions on top of customer picture, include products price details and ability to add the recommended products into the store cart and do checkout.
