Beyond fixing grammar and punctuation, the priority is keeping the “family” focus intact—names must stay consistent, generational links should read naturally, and any sensitive references handled with care.

You’ll receive the draft (about 40 pages) in Microsoft Word. Please return:

• A version with Tracked Changes so I can see every edit
• A clean, publication-ready file
• A short style sheet outlining conventions you applied to names, dates, and capitalization

Preserve historical spellings when they appear in quoted source material; modernize everything else to standard U.S. English. If you have a background in genealogy writing, Chicago style, or tools like Family Tree Maker or Ancestry, let me know—it will help us move quickly.
