Project Title: Trauma-Informed Genealogist for Emotional Legacy Mapping & Archival Support
Project Overview: Seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented genealogist to assist with multi-generational family history research, emotional legacy mapping, and archival storytelling. This project supports a 39-chapter memoir honoring seven generations, blending factual genealogy with symbolic and emotional narrative.
Scope of Work:
Conduct archival research (census, vital records, immigration, military, etc.) with ethical sourcing and documentation
Assist in building emotional genograms and symbolic family maps
Collaborate on trauma-informed interview synthesis and ancestral story weaving
Support metadata tagging and organization of digital archives (Family Tree Maker, TreeVault, Ancestry sync experience preferred)
Optional: contribute to creative storytelling, symbolic motif interpretation, or legacy visualization
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in genealogy research and archival documentation
Familiar with trauma-informed or consent-based interviewing practices
Sensitive to emotional nuance and generational healing themes
Comfortable working with symbolic mapping and creative legacy formats
Bonus: experience with publishing workflows or memoir formatting
Deliverables:
Annotated family trees and genograms
Source citations and archival summaries
Emotional legacy notes and story outlines
Optional: visual mapping sheets or symbolic legends
Timeline: Flexible, with phased collaboration over 6–12 weeks. Initial focus on 2–3 generations.
