Family History Book Creation
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m ready to turn several generations of scattered memories into a cohesive story my whole family can enjoy. You’ll start with a box of old photographs, my mother’s vivid recollections, and access to my Ancestry.com tree. From there, I need you to scan and tidy the images, schedule and record an in-depth interview with my mother, and—if possible—reach out to her brother in Florida as well as a few other U.S. relatives I can help locate.
The research, images, and interviews then come together in a narrative that feels personal yet polished. I’d like a finished piece we can hold in our hands and also share online, so please plan for both print and digital outputs. High-resolution photo restoration, clear transcript writing, and thoughtful genealogy sourcing are all important, and familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, or equivalent layout software will make the workflow smoother. Access to Zoom or a similar platform for remote interviews is fine.
Deliverables
• Print-ready family history book that blends narrative, photo album, and a clean family tree chart
• Interactive PDF or e-book version of the same content
• Digitized, labelled photo archive (original and retouched versions)
• Interview recordings plus written transcripts
Provide a brief outline of your proposed approach, preferred software, and any past genealogy or oral-history projects you’ve completed so I can see how you would bring our family story to life.
