Extract Birth Announcements Data

I’m compiling a historical list of birth announcements that appeared in target newspapers from one specific city between 1953 and 1987. I don’t currently have digital access to the papers, so you’ll need to locate the content—whether that means visiting a local library, requesting microfilm scans, or tapping into pay-walled archival services—and capture the details manually.

What I need:
• A spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) listing every birth announcement you find, including baby’s full name, date of birth (or publication date if that’s all that is available), parents’ names, and any other relevant details printed.
• Clear citation for each entry that allows me to trace the information back to its original page (newspaper title, issue date, page number, scan link or microfilm reference).
• Regular progress updates so we can verify approach and formatting before you proceed too far.

Accuracy matters more than speed, but I’m aiming for steady, consistent output over the span of the project. If you already have experience with genealogy research, microfilm readers, or OCR cleanup, please mention it—those skills will help us move faster.
