I am seeking a skilled garment maker to craft a traditional monastic alb with an attached hood. The piece must follow classic ecclesiastical lines—ample drape, discreet side openings, and a plain front—nothing overtly modern or embellished. I would like it sewn in breathable, medium-weight cotton and finished in a pure white tone appropriate for liturgical use.
Once we agree to proceed, I will share my full measurements and any additional liturgical guidelines from my community. The completed alb should arrive fully finished, pressed, and ready to wear, with seams reinforced for frequent use and laundering.
Acceptance criteria
• Pattern and cut reflect historic monastic tradition
• 100 % white cotton as specified, pre-shrunk and colorfast
• Hood integrated cleanly, roomy enough to drape without pulling at the neck
• Delivered in my provided measurements with ±1 cm tolerance on all critical dimensions
