Kids' Fashion Design

I am launching Little Muse, a premium children’s clothing brand focused on timeless, elegant and distinctive childrenswear with a British, French and Spanish-inspired aesthetic.

I am looking for an experienced Kidswear Fashion Designer who can take my overall vision and the visual references I provide and develop them into a complete, cohesive and original collection exclusively for Little Muse.

I will provide references to communicate the aesthetic, details and overall feeling I like; however, I am looking for a designer who can bring their own creativity and expertise to the project. The designer will be responsible for developing the moodboards, collection themes, colour palettes, fabric direction, silhouettes, embroidery/print ideas and overall creative direction.

For my first collection, I am planning approximately 6–12 clothing designs across boys and girls, with the possibility of coordinating accessories.

The project may include:

* Research and development of the collection concept
* Creation of professional moodboards and colour palettes
* Original childrenswear design development
* Fashion sketches and technical drawings
* Fabric, trim and material recommendations
* Original embroidery, smocking, appliqué and print ideas where appropriate
* Development of a cohesive collection for boys and girls
* Factory-ready tech packs
* Measurements, grading/sizing guidance and construction details
* Fabric, trim, stitching and finishing specifications
* Clear communication with manufacturers if adjustments are required

The aesthetic I am looking for is classic European childrenswear with a refined, whimsical and timeless feeling. I love beautiful silhouettes, delicate embroidery, smocking, charming prints, thoughtful details and premium finishing. The designs should feel special and recognizable while still being practical and appropriate for children.

Some brands I may provide as aesthetic references only include Abuela Tata, La Coqueta, Paz Rodríguez, Amaia Kids, Tartine et Chocolat, Jacadi, Bonpoint, Abel & Lula, House of Carousel and Liberty fabrics. These references are intended to communicate the style and quality I am drawn to; I do not want copies. I want the designer to interpret the direction and create an original and recognizable design language for Little Muse.

I am particularly interested in someone with strong experience in baby and childrenswear, knowledge of childrenswear sizing and garment construction, and the ability to create accurate tech packs that can be sent directly to manufacturers.
