Fashion Design & Indian culture Research Assistant
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We are building Haq, a contemporary Indian fashion brand.
We are looking for a creative fashion designer who can help us develop original design concepts for our collection. The ideal person should understand current Gen Z fashion trends while also having knowledge of Indian fabrics, embroidery, beadwork, stonework, prints, and garment construction.
Responsibilities
Research relevant Indian and global fashion trends
Develop fresh design ideas aligned with Haq’s brand identity
Suggest silhouettes, colour palettes, fabrics, embroidery placements and surface details
Create mood boards, inspiration boards and rough fashion sketches
Help refine our existing ideas into commercially wearable designs
Recommend suitable fabrics and production techniques
Consider manufacturing feasibility and target pricing while designing
Assist in developing a cohesive collection rather than unrelated individual pieces
Initial Deliverables
For the first phase, we would like:
A collection mood board and colour palette
Approximately 8–12 initial design concepts
Rough sketches or digital illustrations
Fabric, embroidery and embellishment suggestions for each design
Revisions based on our feedback
Final selected designs prepared clearly enough to begin sampling or tech-pack development
Preferred Style
When applying, please share:
Your fashion-design portfolio
Examples of womenswear or Indian/contemporary designs
