Advanced Garment Construction Specialist
Budget: $50,000 – $100,000 USD
I’m starting a long-term line that spans intricate dresses, refined outerwear, and modest silhouettes. Every piece carries couture-level finishes, so I need someone who thrives on advanced garment construction and isn’t daunted by complex seam work, structured interiors, or specialty fabrics.
Some styles already have drafted patterns; others will require you to build patterns from scratch, refine the fit through multiple muslins, and translate final specs into production-ready files. You should be equally comfortable interpreting an existing block and originating new shapes when the design demands it.
Deliverables per style:
• Production-ready pattern (digital or hard copy)
• One perfectly finished sample or toile for fit approval
• Brief construction notes or tech-pack updates outlining stitch types, seam allowances, and finishing details
All sewing, tailoring, pattern-making, and grading tools you normally rely on—whether CAD software like Optitex or traditional paper drafting—are welcome as long as the output is precise and consistent.
If you’re meticulous, communicative, and passionate about bringing complex garments to life, let’s discuss the first set of designs and map out our milestones.
