Fix Mobile Loading For 3D Maze
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My browser-based 3D maze (http://bismuth8311.itch.io/3dmaze) works smoothly on desktop, yet mobile browsers choke.
I need an experienced web-game optimiser to:
• Diagnose the bottlenecks in the current Web build (likely WebGL asset size, compression, streaming, or shader setup).
• Apply best-practice fixes so the game opens quickly and runs fluidly on standard Android and iOS browsers without breaking the existing desktop experience.
• Provide a reproducible build process and a brief change log so I can maintain it going forward.
Acceptance criteria
– Game loads in under 5 seconds on a typical 4G connection using Chrome’s network throttling.
– Sustains ~30 fps on a mid-range Android (Pixel 4a class) and iPhone SE.
– No new functional regressions on desktop.
Deliverables
1. Optimised mobile-friendly build live on the existing itch.io page.
2. Step-by-step notes or scripts for rebuilding.
3. Up to two revision rounds after initial delivery.
If you’ve tamed WebGL or Unity WebGL projects for phones before, tell me how you’d attack this loading-speed issue and roughly how long you expect it to take.
