World of Warcraft Combat Addon Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I need a developer who already lives and breathes World of Warcraft—someone who raids Heroic/Mythic and regularly pushes high-key Mythic Plus. The goal is to create a combat-utility add-on that improves real-time decision-making during boss encounters.
What the add-on must do
• Cooldown trackers – display personal and group cooldowns with flexible, LUA-driven logic.
• Boss mods – surface encounter-specific warnings and timers, synchronising smoothly with existing combat logs.
• Combat helper functions – smart prompts (auras, interrupts, dispels) that adapt to talent builds and dungeon/raid mechanics.
Key expectations
• Written in clean Lua, fully compliant with the current WoW API.
• Lightweight, avoiding taint and frame-rate spikes during hectic pulls.
• Modular structure so I can add or swap mechanics without a full rewrite.
• Intuitive in-game configuration panel; no manual .lua edits required.
Workflow
1. You deliver a working prototype inside a dummy raid instance so I can test usability and performance.
2. We iterate on UI placement, sound/visual cues, and module loading logic.
3. Once the core is rock-solid, we expand to additional raid tiers and dungeon pools with regular version bumps.
If this initial build meets expectations, I’m ready for an ongoing collaboration to keep the add-on updated for new patches and seasons.
