Unreal Engine 5 Flight Simulator Developer with proficiency in Blueprints and performance optimization
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need an Unreal Engine 5 developer for a PC-based Flight Simulator game. The ideal candidate should have a strong proficiency in Blueprints and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing Blueprints for game logic and interactivity for the following tasks:
Part 1 "Add a static mesh instance system":
step 1: replace animated curtains in-game app with instance static meshes,
step 2: add a collision box to the camera drone, that once the camera detects a curtain instance static mesh it triggers its world transform and spawns the animated curtain actor,
step 3: add a code that once the curtain end overlaps with the box collision of the drone it triggers destruction and respawns the instance static mesh,
step 4: Make this code modular to support fans, beds, and everything else to achieve the best performance.
Part 2 "Add a customizable rooms/room planer system":
add a customizable rooms system we can have each room instance unique but by data so that we can modify ("texture change/switch during runtime"):
the wall, floor, ceiling, door + frame, window + frame, baseboard, and moldings (stucco) texture in each room
and that we change/place furniture items ("static mesh change/switch during runtime") in each room.
The right freelancer will have:
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine 5
- Prior work on flight simulator games/projects is a plus
