Spin-the-Wheel Game in Python
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
Description
I’m looking for an experienced Python developer to create a “Spin the Wheel” game, similar in style and functionality to spinthewheel.io
.
The wheel should:
Spin smoothly with realistic physics and deceleration.
Include sound effects similar to spinthewheel.io (click/tick sounds + spin/fanfare sounds).
Use a color palette and visual style close to that site — bright, fun, and modern.
Allow a custom background image (PNG) that I will provide.
Display a central logo/image (also PNG, provided by me).
Technical Requirements
Must be built in Python (preferably using Pygame or Tkinter + animation libraries).
The app should be standalone (runnable locally, not web-based).
The wheel’s segments (text, colors, and number of slices) should be easily configurable from a simple file (e.g., JSON or CSV).
Include basic sound support (on/off toggle).
Output: when the wheel stops, display the winning segment clearly.
Deliverables
Source code with comments.
Basic documentation for setup and customization (e.g., how to change slices, colors, sounds).
Folder for assets (background image, wheel center image, sound effects).
Optionally, short video demo of the wheel running.
Optional (Nice to Have)
Simple GUI to configure the wheel (text, colors, segments, etc.).
Animation easing for more realistic spins.
Optional “click to spin” button or keyboard shortcut.
What I’ll Provide
Background image (PNG).
Center logo/image (PNG).
Color/style reference.
Sound examples if needed.
