Roblox Shooter Game Refactoring & Enhancement
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Overview:
We have an objective-based, team-vs-team Roblox shooter experience that’s functional but in need of deep refactoring, optimization, and the addition of several brand-new systems. All 3D models, animations, and UI assets are provided—you’ll be responsible for clean, modular Lua scripting, bug fixes, performance improvements, and programming new gameplay features.
Scope of Work:
Refactor & Polish Existing Systems
Round Management:
Ensure doors open/close reliably at round start/end
Reset timers, scores, and respawn players on randomized teams
Objective Capture:
Smooth, consistent capture rates and synced VFX/SFX
Flawless UI progress updates
Round End Sequence:
Trigger custom cinematic on victory/defeat
Display end-of-round screen with coin earnings and stat breakdown
Death & Respawn Logic:
Add ragdoll physics and revive-window tracking
Fix respawn glitches and character-swap issues
Drone Mechanics:
Update GUI when drones are equipped/used
Idle animation loop and “drone strike” ability
Assign health and destruction logic to drones
Intermission Menu:
Integrate in-game shop into intermission UI
Build post-round leaderboard with team/player stats
Weapon & Shooting Mechanics:
Overhaul accuracy, bloom, recoil, firing modes, ammo & reload logic
Brand-New Feature Development
Hold-to-Revive System:
Players hold “E” to revive (interruptible; reviver can fire)
Revived spawn at ⅔ health with brief invulnerability
Coin Economy & DataStore:
Grant coins for kills, assists, revives, objectives, wins
Real-time “+100” GUI popups; persistent storage
Sticker-Pack Shop & Rarity System:
Purchase packs, tiered rarity chances, coin deduction
Accessory Customization Screen:
3D character preview per class
Equip/unequip owned accessories; save selections to DataStore
Deliverables:
Fully refactored, well-commented Luau code for all above systems
Seamless integration with provided UI and assets
Brief documentation outlining module structure and usage
Required Skills & Experience:
Luau/Roblox Scripting (3+ years) — deep expertise in Server/Client architecture
GUI Scripting — ScreenGuis, TweenService, ContextActionService
DataStore — economy systems, persistence
Multiplayer — round-based game logic, team assignment, replication
Debugging & Optimization — clean, modular code
Should be proficient in back-end and front-end code.
