Ranked Bedwars MMR & Matchmaking Plugin

Job ID: 40229240

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m extending my Bedwars1058 server into a truly competitive arena and need a ranked system coded right away. The core requirements are already mapped out—placement matches, ongoing MMR updates, a /rank lookup, and full data persistence—but the make-or-break piece is fair, dynamic matchmaking. Players must be grouped with opponents of similar rating, with the queue smart enough to widen its tolerance only when wait times get excessive.

Everything has to slip neatly into the existing Bedwars1058 ecosystem; no changes to the core game, no clunky commands. Java, Spigot/Paper APIs, and solid MySQL (or equivalent) handling will all be in play. The finished module should:

• Track first-ten placement games, establish an initial MMR, then adjust after every win, loss, kill or bed break (those last two should be toggleable in config).
• Build and maintain balanced lobbies automatically, prioritizing equal skill while preventing long queue stalls.
• Persist all stats through restarts and updates.
• Provide a clean /rank readout showing current tier, exact MMR, and next-rank progress.
• Expose a well-commented config plus API hooks so future features slot in easily.

I’m looking to move fast, so if you’ve built competitive ladders, rating algorithms, or high-load matchmaking systems before, point me to that past work and let’s talk.

Basically the plugin tracks bed destroyed, kills, wins, etc and places them in a rank corresponding to them. The first 1-10 games decide their rank and matchmake with other players in the same rank based off that. After the rank is decided, the rank can still be changed by collecting more data for each player but not as important as the first 1-10 games to change rank.
