Paper Plane Evolution Mobile Game

Job ID: 40304082

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m creating a light, feel-good mobile game that begins with the player launching a simple paper airplane and relaxing while it glides. As distance and in-game currency build, the craft evolves into ever-cooler models, each with its own playful look and subtle handling tweak. The whole experience should remain casual and relaxing, never punishing.

Visual tone
The art direction is cartoony and bright colours, soft edges, and charming little details that make each upgrade feel rewarding without cluttering the screen. Think easy on the eyes, pleasant to pick up for a few minutes at a time.

Core gameplay features
• Varied levels & environments: please design several themed backdrops (for example a classroom, a city park, a twilight skyline, etc.) so players feel progression through space as well as through their aircraft’s evolution.
• Upgradable power-ups: speed boosts, thermal up-drafts, or protective glides that can be earned and levelled up to complement the plane upgrades.

Scope of work
– Build the main flight loop with simple one-finger control.
– Implement the evolution/upgrade system that swaps models, stats, and visuals smoothly.
– Create at least three distinct environments with their own ambience, obstacles, and gentle challenges.
– Integrate basic UI, audio cues, and a lightweight tutorial so newcomers understand the objective in seconds.
– Package for current mobile devices and supply a test build I can install directly.

Acceptance criteria
1. A playable build where a paper plane can evolve through at least five upgrade tiers.
2. Seamless transition between a minimum of five themed environments.
3. No hard fail states; the session ends only when the glide naturally stops or hit an obstacle.
4. Assets and code organised so future levels or plane skins can be added easily.

I’m open to your preferred engine or framework as long as the final game runs smoothly on standard modern phones. Let me know how you’d tackle art, physics, and progression, plus an estimated timeline for a vertical slice and full build.
