I have a completed Windows desktop game that runs smoothly in terms of graphics and load times, yet its memory footprint is higher than I’m comfortable shipping. My goal is to bring that usage down without sacrificing visual fidelity or gameplay flow.

What I need
• A deep dive into the codebase to identify leaks, unnecessary allocations, and bloated assets.
• Concrete optimisation work—refactoring, pooling, streaming, or asset compression—followed by a tested build that proves lower RAM consumption.
• A short technical report summarising the changes and the before-and-after metrics so I can trace every optimisation decision later.

The tech stack currently centres on C++ with DirectX 11, compiled inside Visual Studio 2022. If you prefer tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, Nvidia Nsight, or built-in Visual Studio profilers, feel free—they’re all fair game as long as the final result shows a measurable reduction in memory usage.
