Node RPG Web Game Development
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I have an idea for a web-based role-playing game that will run entirely on a Node.js back end. The core of the project is to build an engaging browser experience that players can access without any plug-ins, relying on technologies such as Express, Socket.IO or similar real-time libraries, and an HTML5/JavaScript front end (Phaser, Pixi, or anything you prefer that meshes well with Node).
The game must include these three pillar features:
• Character customization – players choose appearance, stats, and starting skills.
• Multiplayer mode – real-time or turn-based sessions where several players share the same world instance.
• Quest system – story-driven tasks with branching rewards that update player progression in a database.
I’ll provide the lore, art direction, and initial wireframes; you’ll architect the server, implement the gameplay loop, and hook up a simple NoSQL store (MongoDB or equivalent) for persistent data. Please write clean, well-documented code and be comfortable handing over the repo in Git once milestones are met.
Acceptance criteria will be a running demo on my test server, source code with install instructions, and a brief hand-off call to walk through deployment. If you have previous Node-powered game examples—especially multiplayer RPGs—send me a link so I can jump straight into evaluating your approach.
