Mobile MMORPG Concept & Prototype
Budget: $10 – $300 USD
I want to create a fully online, cross-platform MMORPG for iOS and Android. At this stage I’m still open on theme and core loop, so you’re free to pitch a fantasy, sci-fi, or historical direction and choose whether the focus leans toward PvP clashes, quest-driven progression, or a crafting economy. What I need right now is a clear plan and a small, working slice of the game that proves the multiplayer tech, basic combat or interaction, and account persistence.
Key goals
• Solid client-server architecture capable of real-time play (Unity Netcode, Photon, Mirror, or a comparable solution—your recommendation is welcome).
• Clean, scalable codebase with clear documentation.
• Visuals can be placeholder; gameplay feel and network stability take priority.
• Runs smoothly on both iOS and Android devices.
Deliverables
1. Concise game design document outlining your proposed setting, main mechanics, progression, and monetization approach.
2. Playable prototype featuring:
– Login/lobby system
– A small explorable map
– At least one interactive mechanic (e.g., basic combat, resource gathering, or trading)
3. Server setup and deployment instructions (cloud or self-host).
4. Complete source code, build scripts, and a brief hand-off guide.
If you’ve shipped real-time mobile titles before, especially MMORPGs, I’d love to see them. Let’s build a solid foundation that we can expand into a full game after this prototype phase.
