Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP

Freelance Developer – Interactive Gameshow Application

Project Overview:
We currently run an event called Gameshow Bonanza, which is delivered through pre-recorded videos created on Canva, with all music and sound effects embedded. We now want to evolve this into an interactive, bespoke programme, similar to classic TV game shows like Blankety Blank, with real-time interaction, player input, scoring, sound effects, and dynamic visuals.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop a custom interactive application that can host multiple games (e.g., Blankety Blank-style fill-in-the-blank, quizzes, trivia, etc.).

Implement real-time player interaction — e.g., players input answers, scores update live, results display dynamically.

Integrate or recreate music and sound effects currently embedded in videos.

Develop an admin/host interface to control the flow of the game (e.g., start/stop rounds, display answers, trigger sound effects).

Ensure the programme is visually engaging, matching or improving on current Canva video style.

Make the application easy to update with new questions, answers, and rounds.

Ensure the application runs smoothly on standard event equipment (PC, projector, web browser if applicable).

Key Requirements:
Strong experience in interactive web or desktop application development (e.g., using HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, Unity, or other suitable tools).

Ability to create clean, responsive, and visually engaging UI/UX.

Skills in integrating audio and video assets.

Experience building programmes that handle real-time input and state management.

Ability to implement user-friendly admin controls.

Excellent communication skills for collaborating on game flow, features, and visuals.

Nice to Have:
Experience developing similar game show or quiz apps.

Knowledge of event tech integration (e.g., using external devices like buzzers or clickers).

Animation or motion design skills.

Experience with multi-user systems (if future versions include remote play).
