3D Horse Game with Mario Kart Influence
Budget: £5,000 – £10,000 GBP
We're looking for a team, or individuals to create a team, to create a new 3D Horse Game with Mario Kart like racing influences. A game called Alicia Online is own main source of influence. You see, that game has become an influence and desire for many to still play to this day, only considered of non-profitable private servers for people across the globe to play on. It was originally created in Korea but never marketed outside of Korea, so many across the globe were left stumped on how to play, as for many young horse lovers it was a dream come true for them. The very game they all wanted. Due to the developers mistake it has left these private servers unable to profit or make major changes to the game. What we all need is a new breathe of fresh air, to create a new game, a new community for all in the horse gaming communities to find a good game to enjoy together. I can already confirm a minimum of 15,000 people, most likely much more, would be willing to pay for a game that at least has all the aspects of a horse game they wanted, put into one. I am a person of that community and have a heightened knowledge of the features they want and desire, so I hope I can help shape the game into one that thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, would be over joyed with. I will also say there is money to be had in the horse gaming genre as many projects have failed over the years, not giving their audience and backers what they want.
I can only start on a budget or £5,000-£7,500 as a starting gun, but I hope helpers researching more into the horse gaming genre will encourage me to help making their hopes and dreams a reality, while there's plenty of profit to be had for our helpers. This sum, if even required as I know free volunteers do exist, is simply to create a small gameplay trailer and to post it onto kickstarter to have the funds to fulfil this dream, as I also said we can confirm a large number of confirmed backers within the Alicia community, and the horse game's communities as a whole.
We simply ask for two to three racing maps we can show case, with a couple of magic items being shown in use in the game (again remember please to look more into the Alicia Online as it is a heavy influence, we wish to make a game very similar like it without the likeness being legally a problem), one or two maps are only required to show case a ranch the players reside in when not not racing online with other players, and a town square like map (again using Alicia Online as a big reference as we don't require large maps or many maps at all other than the amount of maps we use for the racing), this maps can be quite minimal but still large enough to not feel like you're on the edge of a/the maps, either these two idea can be combined as one map or two separate areas. The town square must include two or three unique characters used to show shops selections such as tack, cosmetics, clothes, construction options, food for the horses, ect. The ranch must include a functionality to that of a customisable ranch, and a small agriculture side to it, similar feelings to animal crossing in a way, to help players gain a little more money (the online racing will be the main source of income however), and harvest food for their horses. An extensive breeding system is also a requirement, one where horses markings can and palettes can be distinctly different from each other but not too far stretched to have too many assets or art, equally to more money out of pocket of us as we only have so much to give before the kickstarter, unless we try to get backers another way. A simple yet fulfilling care system for the horses and foals is also an added bonus to the experience. The POV must also be in 3rd person.
We don't have a lot of money to give from our savings but these people are desperate for a breathe of fresh air, but also to keep the elements they love so much about Alicia Online. The breeding, the horses and the racing must all be a main focus, to perfection as humanly possible. With this added I would also like to add that graphically wise we are only aiming for a twilight princess like style of graphics to start off, and if the kickstarter goes well we may be able to go more towards semi-realism, but keeping that anime like style to charm. We hope we can find someone to help us a team to get started, at least a game developer who is willing to do their research into the Alicia Online game and horse games as a whole, to see if they're confident for the job, and know where to go from there.
