GTA V Death Blackout Mod
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
When my character dies in Grand Theft Auto V on PC, I want the usual red “Wasted” splash and voice-over to disappear entirely. Instead, the screen should fade instantly to complete black, all game audio should mute, and the world must stay that way for a full ten seconds. After that blackout the game should respawn me as it normally does, with visuals and audio returning simultaneously and seamlessly.
No extra visual flourishes, countdowns, sound cues, or hints—the blackout needs to feel like total Death. The mod only has to run on the current PC version of GTA V (Steam/Rockstar Social Club builds). A lightweight ScriptHookV / ScriptHookVDotNet or ASI solution is preferred so I can drop it in my “scripts” or root folder, enable it, and play.
Deliverable:
• A compiled mod file plus any required source or configuration files, ready to copy into the game directory, accompanied by brief install instructions.
Acceptance:
Launching the game, triggering a death event, and observing a silent black screen for exactly ten seconds before the standard respawn completes without crashes or residual UI elements.
