Develop a Unity VR game
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Hi I would like to ask - how much would it cost me to commission a VR game with simple AI and maybe multiplayer.
The game I would like to be very much something like King Kaiju VR : https://youtu.be/SOxwsecnvx0
Now I would like to note that I am also a game developer myself, but I do not own a VR headset and I am worried that without proper testing it could suffer from nausea inducing glitches or other issues that I would not be able to catch.
So I would like to ask for a few offers, ranging from you just laying the framework for me that ensures there is not going to be any camera issues, and maybe test the final product for me to make sure it stayed this way. All the way to how much it would cost for a full game.
It is very important for me that the game lends itself well to streaming, so please offer a way to stabilize the camera shake on the receiving end. Also would like to have a camera window in the corner of the screen allowing the player to look at themselves from a different angle. Let the camera be moved around by hand, attached to an NPC or controlled by another player.
I will provide the player model, but would prefer the environment to be made on your end, but if it's expensive I'll provide the building, car and NPC models myself.
I would also like the game to come with simple city generator that would randomize the stage a lottle bit every time it is loaded. It would be great if the game had three levels, increasing the size of the player and the destruction as the game progresses.
Fir the AI I'd just like the NPC's to run away from the player, maybe add an occasional spawn that will try to shoot the player with a gun or a tank.
For the multiplayer I'm thinking Photon net code, non host players would join in as civilian. Though I guess we could also allow from one to 4 kaiju players at the same time? No more than 16 players online fir sure and even that is probably too many.
Sorry I forgot to mention the civilian players do not need to be in VR. I honestly would prefer to make this a BR non VR hybrid that can be played either in our out of VR. But for now let's assume the main player is always in VR while non kaiju players are always not in VR
Below is a quickly put together GDD.
Please note : All things in there can be changed or you can only create a framework that makes the implementation of it easier if need be. It's absolutely fine to scale the project down to fit it into budget
Right now I am mostly interested in getting a prototype / proof of concept out, while the document mostly describes something resembling the full project with even some of future plans sneaked in. So please let me know how much would it cost for the prototype first, with maybe a ball park estimation of the full project price. I may be interested in expanding it further later on if money allows.
Target Headset is HTC Vive V2 (consumer edition)
Current budget : Around 1500$ - let me know how much you can deliver not exceeding that amount. Again it's absolutely fine to scale down or cut features to squeeze in the budget.
Also let me know how much time you think it would take. OR you can split it up into milestones if that's better for you. And please do send a separate offer including the graphics, and just the code. I can do the Graphix on my end just do not have much time to do so. I will provide all sound and music + player and NPC characters.
