Cartoon Browser Flip Bird Game

Job ID: 40300963

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

I want to bring a simple, addictive “Flip Bird” style experience to the web. The game should be fully playable in any modern desktop or mobile browser with no extra plugins—pure HTML5, JavaScript (or TypeScript), and CSS/Canvas/WebGL are fine as long as everything stays lightweight.

Here’s the vision:
• 2D gameplay that feels instantly familiar: one-tap or click to keep the bird airborne while dodging oncoming obstacles.
• A bright, cartoonish look—think bold colours, chunky outlines, and playful animations—but all original artwork so we stay clear of any Flappy Bird assets.
• Responsive design so the window can scale from phone screens up to full-size monitors without stretching or letter-boxing.
• Clean sound effects and a looping background track that can be toggled on/off.
• A straightforward start screen, live score counter, game-over panel, and automatic high-score storage in LocalStorage. No external back-end is required at this stage.

Deliverables
1. Complete source code and asset files, organised and commented.
2. One-click build or deploy instructions so I can host it on a static server (e.g., Netlify, GitHub Pages).
3. A short README outlining key files, how to tweak difficulty values, and where to swap art or audio if needed.

Acceptance criteria
• Loads in under two seconds on a standard broadband connection.
• Holds 60 FPS on current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
• No console errors or uncaught exceptions.
• All artwork and audio are original or licensed for commercial use.

If you already have a favourite JS game framework—Phaser, PixiJS, ThreeJS in 2D mode—feel free to use it, or go vanilla; just keep the final bundle lean. Let me know a rough timeline for first playable and any examples of similar browser games you’ve shipped. I’m looking forward to seeing the bird take flight!
