I need a game developer -- 2

Basically there was this game released in 2012 called No Zombies Allowed. I was a big fan of it and would play it all the time and I’m sure there was a community of people who enjoyed it as well. Unfortunately, the gaming company who owned it went bankrupt therefore it was discontinued or something. I was wondering if by any chance there would be some way to revise the game, same concept and everything, considering legality of course (I am not really familiar with all that), I was just wondering if something like that would be possible?
