Zero-K Large Desert Map
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m commissioning one (possibly several) large-scale battlefields for the Steam title Zero-K. The vision is a sweeping desert wasteland broken up by pockets of battered urban structures. The layout must invite classic RTS flow: generous base-building space near each start position, clearly flagged metal/resource spots, and a handful of well-placed choke points that create strategic tension without feeling cramped on a map this size.
Because Zero-K runs on the Spring engine, I’ll need the full .sd7 package ready to drop into the game: height-map, texture, metal map, feature placement, and the finished compile. Please include your editable source files (height PNG, texture PSD or equivalent, mapinfo, etc.) so I can iterate later if balance tweaks are required.
If you have experience with Spring Map Editor, SpringBoard, or similar tools, it will speed things along, but any workflow that delivers a clean, fully play-tested map is fine. Balance for large team games (8–16 players) is a priority, so pathing, reclaim spots, and mex distribution should be tuned accordingly.
Let me know how many playtest/feedback cycles you typically include and share a link or two to previous RTS maps you’ve shipped. Once we agree on scope—single map or a small set—we can lock in milestones and start building.
