Video Game Port from Visual Studio Express, XNA, Torque to Apple/Google App Stores
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I created a video game for the Xbox 360 Indie Developer channel many years ago and am looking to convert it into a mobile game for the apple and android stores. It was created in Microsoft Visual Studio Express with XNA 3.1 and Torque engine.
The game was an edutainment multiple choice math game in the style of a mix between education and a fighting game where you choose a character then you play against others. Each right answer builds up a combo meter that allows you to do a super move to defeat your opponent. It has online, local multiplayer functionality, challenge the computer and leaderboards. The game uses an XML file that dynamically generates the math questions. With this format other school subjects could also be added with multiple choice questions in the future.
Your task would be to first figure out a way to recompile the game for an x86 computer so that you could play the game and see all the functionality. Then you would have to most probably recode the entire game. All the music, animation and art would be pulled from the existing files. You would also help me create a apple developer and play store developer account and help me get the game published on both.
Please note you must have a background in game development and also be an individual developer that will work directly with me, NOT a team and be regularly available to chat whenever questions arise. This is the start of one of my game projects so doing a great job will yield more development work. Please also supply game URLs that I could try that you have fully created yourself or explain your part in the project.
Budget to be determined based on a clear outline of expected work hours etc. Recommend using clockify this will help long term with budgeting. Please recommend what platform would be best. I am only aware of Unreal and Unity.
The following link is to 2 youtube video previews for the game to give you a better understanding.
