Solo PC Sports League Management Game
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a game developer who can invent a fresh, new, sports-based video game tailored for the PC. This game sets itself apart through its focus on simple league management for a solo player. This is intended for non-commercial use, and simplicity is HIGHLY STRESSED.
The special features I'm looking for include:
- The ability for players to create and customize their own teams
- Randomly generated player names from a notepad pool of editable names
- Player development tracking adhering to real-world growth and aging patterns
- Player statistics tracking that's thorough yet easy to understand
- Annual season awards for top performing players
- A retirement page where players can follow their favorites post-career
- A Hall of Fame page to honor the league's legends
An ideal candidate will have experience in including simplified sports management systems and game development on a PC platform. Any level of experience in creating new sports games from scratch will be highly appreciated. Familiarity with player development systems and sports statistics, and an understanding of sports league operational structures, would also be major pluses.
Game idea is inspired from Basketball, helping a solo player enjoy high scoring games with lots of stats. This is simplifying the basketball game into randomly selected 1 vs 1 matchups based on how many plays a team plans on playing each starter. Players choose based on a hidden stat and player planning, what zone they want to enter and potentially shoot from. Defense has the disadvantage the whole way allowing for high scoring games. Zones are used to create a variety in stats, points scored, and potential strategy.
Simple equations are used from stat numbers to equate a solution and thus a result of each matchup/play. These are simple equations that can be figured out on the spot with hands, but a simulator would speed this way up and be fun!
This is planned on being a small 10 team league to be easy to manage. But with better software and knowledge I can see this as a lot of fun with up to 20 teams or customizable.
Hidden stats are used to hide some information and allow a "league manager solo player" to still not know it all. Having some unpredictability in these types of games is key. Player personalities are as simple as 1 through 5, player longevity 1 through 5, and learning rate also 1 through 5. Player zone preference is also hidden but 1 through 9 with different percentages involved for each of the three zones.
All further details can be explained upon accepting.
Simplicity cannot be stressed any more with this project idea!!!
This should be easy, piece of cake work for someone with some experience and better software.
I'm expecting super cheap quality, just text and boxes, pictures - no animations.
No fancy coding to do here, just simple sports game engine, with a decent progression system with some hidden stats. Good stat tracking is simple for any software even RPG maker.
I want to make this on my own with RPG Maker VX Ace, but it's seeming to be a big time project for my busy family life right now. I know how to do most of this but time needed is really adding up as I finish the planning part. Developing the idea took quite some time itself!
Thank you for any and all of your time, much appreciated!
