Roblox Adventure RPG Game Design
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I want to build an engaging adventure experience on Roblox that leans heavily into role-playing mechanics. The core of the project is a complete game design—everything from the overall concept down to the moment-to-moment loops—so that I or a future team can move straight into production with minimal guesswork.
Here is what I need from you:
• A concise but thorough game design document outlining the world premise, progression flow and major systems.
• Detailed treatment of three must-have RPG features: character customization that lets players feel unique, interactive NPCs that drive story and side activities, and a clear skill-progression path that rewards time invested.
• Wireframes or mock-ups for UI elements such as the inventory, skill tree and character creator.
• A small working prototype in Roblox Studio demonstrating at least one customized avatar interacting with an NPC and gaining XP to level a skill. Lightweight Lua scripts are fine as placeholders, as long as they communicate structure and logic.
• A short hand-off guide so any developer can pick up the file set, open it in Studio and see the prototype running.
While the spotlight is on these role-playing elements, I’m open to suggestions on future additions like quest chains or open-world zones if you think they will strengthen the design. Use any modeling or scripting tools that integrate cleanly with Roblox Studio, but keep all assets optimised for performance on standard devices.
Deliverables will be reviewed against the design document and prototype functionality. If everything lines up and the core loop feels fun, we’re done—though there’s a good chance of follow-on work to expand the game.
