GDD Editor & Technical Writer Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Lunoris Studios (Riyadh indie) is looking for a meticulous GDD Editor & Technical Writer to turn our narrative draft and story treatment into a crystal-clear, milestone-driven Game Design Document for Chapters 0–3 of our 2.5D/3D side-scroller “Lunoris.”
Your Mission:
Audit our existing GDD and narrative treatment for clarity, consistency, and completeness
Restructure sections into chapters and gameplay milestones (Ch0 Prototype, Ch1–3, QA/Build)
Write concise technical descriptions for mechanics, VFX triggers, UI flows, and level setups
Add inline examples, tables, and callouts to guide devs/artists/audio/QA
Collaborate with our Narrative Director and PM to integrate story notes into design tasks
Must-Haves:
3+ years as a Game Design Document editor or technical writer in game development
Proven portfolio of at least two polished GDDs or design specs for shipped titles
Strong command of English, with experience in tables, UML-like diagrams, or markdown formatting
Familiarity with Unreal-based side-scroller mechanics a plus
Agile/sprint-based mindset—comfortable working in iterative cycles
Budget & Timeline:
Fixed USD $700 total
Start immediately; deliver the fully edited GDD by July 12, 2025
Includes up to two rounds of review and minor tweaks
